OK, let me get this straight - a duet with Meat Loaf and Cher? Yep!
This song was not a hit in America but made the top ten in the UK. The video has several awesome early 80’s video elements: big hair, overly dramatic acting, bad dancing by each singer’s “posse”, people magically transporting themselves around the bar from shot to shot, and of course at the end the hero & heroine leave together.
You’d be hard-pressed to find two more “over the top” performers than Meat Loaf & Cher - and this video brings the two of them together for five minutes worth of music video that is somewhere between strangely compelling, awful, hilarious or good clean fun depending on your point of view. Enjoy.
